Greenfield Presbyterian Church Legacy
Approximately 110 years ago our ancestors blessed us when they started Greenfield Presbyterian Church. Since the day it was formed, Greenfield has been an anchor to the Waterford Community through the preaching of the gospel, ministering to the sick and shut-in, helping families in need; and comforting family members in times of loss. Greenfield has always encouraged its members to get an education. The current members state that for more than 45 years, ninety-five percent (95%) of the children that were raised in this church received their high school diplomas, and many went on to get Bachelors, Masters, PhD, Medical, Law, and many other professional degrees. Due to the economic condition of the township, many of our former members have moved to other parts of the United States, but because of the seed sown in their lives as a child at Greenfield they have continued serving the Lord. We have many former members who are pastors, assistant pastors, elders and deacons in their current churches. Many of these former members have followed in the footsteps of their ancestors and helped start local churches across the country. Others have chosen career paths such as teachers, lawyers, business owners, doctors, mathematicians, counselors, youth mentors, construction, auto repair, factory, real estate, insurance, car salesman and a variety of other successful careers. Remember you are blessed because of your ancestorís obedience to God; therefore, you are blessed to be a blessing.
